Who should attend TEM Connect?

TEM Connect is designed for emergency physicians, registrars, junior doctors, nurses, paramedics, retrieval clinicians and other acute care professionals working in tropical, regional and remote settings. If this sounds like you - come and join us!

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! We are a family friendly event. However, we would appreciate out of respect for the speakers, that children are quiet during the talks. The evening social function is for adults only (or bubs in arms) however we will have casual drinks on Friday evening, and children of all ages are most welcome to come along to that.

My non-medical partner/friend/lover wants to come too - can they join us?

They are most welcome to join in, however would probably prefer to come to the evening function rather than the conference itself. ‘Plus one’ tickets for dinner are available when you purchase your tickets.

Will CPD certificates be provided?

Yes — delegates will receive a certificate of attendance following the conference. We are accredited with ACEM and ACRRM.

What is included in registration?

Registration includes access to all conference sessions, catering during the day, and networking opportunities with delegates and speakers plus dinner, drinks and entertainment in the evening.

Where can I stay?

Mission Beach Resort is offering a 10% discount when you book with them - please call them on (07) 4088 8288. Otherwise, there are a number of local accommodation options ranging from budget friendly right up to very fancy.

Is there parking available?

Yes - there is free parking is available at the venue.

Will there be networking opportunities?

Absolutely. TEM Connect is intentionally designed to be highly interactive and collegial, with plenty of opportunities to connect with peers and speakers both during the day and after dark.

What should I wear?

This is North Queensland - stubbies and pluggers are the bare minimum! Wear what you feel comfortable in. The conference is inside in an air conditioned room. The evening function will be outside. The theme for the evening is ‘A Touch of Sparkle’.

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Yes — please include any dietary requirements/allergies during registration or contact the organisers directly.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

Yes — delegate substitutions may be arranged by contacting the organisers prior to the event.

What is your cancellation policy?

All registration cancellations and refund requests are at the discretion of the TEM Connect organising committee. Please contact the organisers as early as possible if you are unable to attend.
